Google has made some changes to the Google My Business platform recently. If you don't have the app installed on your phone or tablet I really do recommend that you install it as soon as you can so that you can really see the impact Google Local Search is having on your business.

Alternatively log in to your Google Business page via a browser on your laptop or desktop at https://business.google.com/manage
Viewing Google My Business Insights can give you a great indication of certain areas for you to address for your business. Are people seeing your photographs and stopping and moving onto the next one? Do your photographs make the customer want to pick up the phone or click through to your website?
Just to clarify being able to find your website specifically searching the name of your business via a google search does not mean that you are on Google My Business.
This has been something that comes up time and again when I have heard people asked if they are on Google My Business.

Do they call you?
Do they click for driving directions?
What impact are your photographs are having compared to similar businesses ?
You can also see how many photographs you have on your listing compared to other similar businesses in the area.
Some of the key changes are :
For all new users the cover photo will be the preferred primary photo.
You can now tag your photographs and upload them in the overview section with no requirement to put them into the separate sections unless of course you want to.
Customers that have posted photographs to your listing will also now be shown to the person who manages your listing.
Google now tries to offer a layout suitable to the type of business selected.
Photographs are in order of date by most recent first.
